babyGLOW by Teoxane: The Skin Booster for Radiant, Hydrated Skin (Women and Men)

Written by Dr Alexa Balan, GDC-registered dentist (GDC no. 293266)
Published

What is Teoxane's babyGLOW? How the 8-point skin booster works, who it suits (women and men), results, sessions and aftercare at our Mayfair clinic.
Key takeaways
- Glow, not volume. babyGLOW improves the quality of your skin, not the shape of your face.
- A precise protocol. Teoxane developed it with more than 20 expert injectors across six countries, and presented it at IMCAS 2026 in Paris.
- For women and men, for prevention in your 20s and 30s or rejuvenation later on.
- Minimal downtime. Most people go straight back to their day.
- Best results come from a course, with maintenance to keep the effect.

About Dr Alexa Clinic and who wrote this guide
Dr Alexa Clinic is a doctor-led, CQC-registered aesthetics clinic at 44 South Molton Street, Mayfair (CQC location ID: 1-20415669683). Every injectable treatment is carried out by a medically trained, registered healthcare professional in a clinical setting.
This guide was written by Dr Alexa Balan, a GDC-registered dentist (GDC no. 293266) with advanced training in facial anatomy and aesthetic injectables.
What is babyGLOW?
babyGLOW isn't a new product. It's a standardised injection protocol designed by Teoxane to get the best skin-quality results from TEOSYAL Redensity 1, one of its established skin boosters.
What makes it different from a typical skin booster:
- Eight targeted points per side of the face, chosen from facial anatomy so the product spreads evenly through the skin, rather than dozens of random injections.
- Placement just beneath the skin, where it can hydrate and support the skin from below.
- A consistent, repeatable technique, so results are more predictable.
Teoxane reports improvements in skin radiance and overall skin quality from its evaluation of the protocol. Its findings were presented as posters at IMCAS 2026.
What's in Redensity 1?
| Ingredient | What it does |
|---|---|
| Non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid (15 mg/mL) | Attracts and holds water in the skin for deep hydration and plumpness. Being "loose" rather than gel-like, it spreads into the skin instead of adding volume |
| 8 amino acids | Building blocks for collagen and elastin |
| 3 antioxidants | Help protect the skin from oxidative stress and environmental damage |
| Minerals (zinc, copper) and vitamin B6 | Support the skin's natural repair processes |
| A local anaesthetic | Makes the treatment more comfortable |
TEOSYAL Redensity 1 is a CE-marked medical device.
What does babyGLOW do?
| Concern | What babyGLOW aims to do |
|---|---|
| Dull, tired-looking skin | Restores radiance and a healthy, natural glow |
| Dehydration | Deep, long-lasting hydration from within |
| Fine lines | Softens fine, superficial lines, especially those caused by dryness |
| Rough or uneven texture | Smoother, more even skin |
| Shadows and a "tired" look | Softens shadowed areas so the face looks fresher |
| Thinning or crepey skin | Improves firmness and elasticity over a course |
What it doesn't do: it doesn't fill deep folds, lift sagging skin, or change the shape of your cheeks, lips or jaw. If you need volume or structure, we'll talk about other options such as collagen stimulators or fillers.
Who is babyGLOW for?
babyGLOW suits a wide range of skin types and ages, and the goal changes with age: prevention when you're younger, rejuvenation as skin matures.
Women
- 20s–30s: dehydrated or dull skin, early fine lines, a "glass skin" look, prepping for an event or wedding.
- 40s–50s: thinning, crepey or tired-looking skin, fine lines, loss of radiance. Often combined with other treatments.
- Any age: skin left dry and dull by stress, travel, air conditioning or long hours.
Men
More and more men come to us for skin quality rather than "anti-ageing" in the usual sense. babyGLOW is popular with men because:
- it's subtle: no change to facial features, nothing that looks "done";
- it improves dull, tired or rough-textured skin, often caused by long hours, travel, sun or shaving;
- there's minimal downtime, so it fits around a busy schedule;
- the effect reads as healthy and well rested, not treated.
We tailor the plan to the differences in men's skin, which is typically thicker and oilier.
babyGLOW may not be the right choice if you…
- mainly want to add volume or reshape features;
- have deep folds or significant sagging;
- want a one-off, permanent fix.
Who should not have babyGLOW?
You should not have treatment, or should delay it, if you:
- are pregnant or breastfeeding;
- are under 18. We do not treat anyone under 18;
- are allergic to hyaluronic acid, local anaesthetics or any ingredient;
- have active skin infection, inflammation, cold sores, acne flares or eczema in the area;
- have an active autoimmune disease, or a history of severe allergies or anaphylaxis;
- tend to form keloid or raised scars;
- have a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners. This needs discussion first; never stop prescribed medicines without medical advice;
- have recently had laser, peels or other skin treatments in the area.
We'll go through your full medical history at consultation.
What happens during treatment?
- Consultation: your skin concerns, goals, medical history and previous treatments, plus photographs for your private medical record.
- Preparation: the skin is cleansed and disinfected.
- Treatment: tiny amounts of Redensity 1 are placed at eight precise points on each side of the face. It takes around 15 minutes, and most people describe it as quick pinpricks.
- Aftercare advice and booking your next session.
Results: what to expect and when
| Time | What you may notice |
|---|---|
| Straight away | A fresh, dewy glow. Small bumps at the injection points settle within hours to a day |
| First 1–2 weeks | Skin feels more hydrated, smoother and more supple |
| After a full course | The best results: more radiant, even, firmer-feeling skin |
| With maintenance | Results kept up over time |
How many sessions, and how often?
| Typical plan | |
|---|---|
| Initial course | 2–3 sessions, about 4–6 weeks apart |
| Maintenance | Every 3–6 months, depending on your skin and goals |
| Session length | About 30 minutes, including preparation |
| Downtime | Minimal: possible mild redness, small bumps or occasional bruising |
For example (illustrative, not real patients):
- A 29-year-old with dehydrated skin has two sessions four weeks apart, then a top-up roughly every six months.
- A 47-year-old with thinning, crepey skin has three sessions, then maintenance every 3–4 months, combined with a collagen-stimulating treatment.
- A 38-year-old man with dull, rough-textured skin from travel and long hours has a course of two sessions, then returns every 4–6 months.
Side effects
Most are mild and short-lived:
- Common: redness, tenderness, swelling or small bumps at the injection points, usually settling within hours to a day or two.
- Occasional: bruising.
- Rare: infection, allergic reaction or a delayed lump.
- Very rare but serious: as with any injectable, injection into a blood vessel. This is why treatment should only be carried out by an appropriately trained, medically qualified practitioner.
Because the hyaluronic acid isn't cross-linked, the risk of lumps or an "overfilled" look is low.
Aftercare
- Avoid make-up for about 12 hours.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms and alcohol for 24 hours.
- Avoid touching, massaging or pressing the treated areas on the day.
- Use daily SPF, and keep up a good skincare routine to support your results.
- Contact us straight away if you notice increasing pain, whitening or dusky discolouration of the skin, or any change in vision.

Frequently asked questions
What is babyGLOW?
babyGLOW is a skin-booster protocol from Teoxane. It uses TEOSYAL Redensity 1, a non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid with amino acids, antioxidants, minerals and vitamin B6, injected at eight precise points on each side of the face to improve hydration, radiance and texture.
Is babyGLOW a filler?
No. It doesn't add volume or change your face shape. It improves the quality of your skin.
Is babyGLOW suitable for men?
Yes. Many men choose babyGLOW because it's subtle, needs minimal downtime and improves dull, tired or rough-textured skin without changing their features.
How many babyGLOW sessions do I need?
Usually 2–3 sessions about 4–6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance every 3–6 months.
When will I see results from babyGLOW?
Many people notice a glow straight away. Hydration and texture keep improving over the following weeks, and the best results come after the full course.
Does babyGLOW hurt?
Most people describe it as quick pinpricks. The product contains a local anaesthetic for comfort.
Is there downtime after babyGLOW?
Minimal. You may have small bumps or mild redness for a few hours to a day, and occasionally a small bruise.
What is the difference between babyGLOW and Juvelook?
babyGLOW mainly hydrates and brightens the skin. Juvelook mainly stimulates your own collagen for firmer, smoother skin over time. They can be combined.

babyGLOW is £395 for a single session or £995 for a course of 3.
