Micropigmentation is also known as Semi permanent make up (SPMU), it is a cosmetic procedure used to improve or replace lost colouring on the skin using needles and pigments. It is most often used on your face to enhance Eyebrows, Eyeliner and lips, it is also used to Camouflage or improve scars to even out skin colouring and restore colour to areas of skin that have lost colour, also recreating an Areola after breast surgery.
How It Works?
Semi-permanent makeup is a cosmetic procedure that uses a specialized technique to deposit pigments into the skin’s upper layers (dermis). A digital rotary handpiece is used to skilfully implant pigment into the upper dermal layer of the skin.Â
Unlike traditional tattoos, which penetrate deeper, this makeup fades over time, typically lasting several months to a few years, depending on factors such as pigment type and skin. It aims to provide a long-lasting, natural-looking makeup effect without the need for daily application.

Semi-permanent makeup, or micropigmentation, can enhance various facial areas, including eyebrows, eyeliner, and lips, and can also be used to blend the appearance of a scar or to recreate areolas after breast surgery.Â
Eyebrows – Hair stroke: £395 – A very fine needle will deposit pigment into the skin, using super fine hairlike strokes to resemble the look of single natural eyebrow hairs. These are perfect for people who have thin hair and sparse eyebrows.
Powder Brows: £395 is a technique designed to create a softer pixelated powder effect, it is very similar to powder make up. Powder brows are great for people who already have full brows but want a little more definition, it is also a preferred technique for people with oily skin.
Lips: Lip Blush £350 requires depositing red/pink pigment into the lip area, to create a fuller look, or a lip enhancement for matured lips, that have lost their natural colour or a sharp lip boarder with age.
Lip Neutralisation £495 includes 2 top ups- Is a process to correct the colour pigmentation, for those who have darker lips, it lightens the lip area to neutralize the darkness to get a desired colour, creating a natural even subtle colour without pigmentation.
Eyeliner – Top or bottom £195, Top and bottom together £295 – Eyeliner can be applied to either the top or bottom or both eyes to customise your look to suit your style. It will make your lashes look fuller and darker at the roots, a very popular style is a subtle lash enhancement tattoo.
Scar Camouflage: £295- £495 depending on the size – Camouflage is a needle technique that blends the surrounding natural skin colour using pigments. (Vitiligo, Scars, Burns & Stretch marks)
Areola 3D Reconstruction: Per Areola £495 includes 2 top ups – 3D tattoos are real medical tattoos, applied with needles that deposit pigment into the skin. Creating a realistic image of a nipple that appears to have a physical dimension but is flat to the touch.
All treatment prices include a top at 4/6 weeks.

Aftercare Advice
Keep area away from water for 24 hours. Then apply the skin healing balm multiple times a day until the scabs fall off. Avoid makeup on treated area for 2-4 days post procedure. No vigorous exercise for 4/5 days and no warm or wet environments (swimming pools etc.) No hot showers, saunas, Jacuzzi or swimming in chlorinated pools for 7-10 days, as these will affect the treated areas.
Who Should Avoid SPMU
Individuals considering semi-permanent makeup should avoid it if they are pregnant, breastfeeding, have certain skin conditions, or are taking specific medications like blood thinners or Accutane
Treatment Duration and Follow-Up
Semi-permanent makeup treatments typically involve a two-step process: The initial appointment, which can take 2-3 hours, involves consultation, design, and numbing with pigment application. Followed by a healing period and a retouch appointment 4-6 weeks later. Second process: Your top up appointment lasting around 2 hours for numbing and pigment application.
